Transporting a horse is apparently no easy feat. Equestrians make use of special trailers, which are attached to the vehicle. These trailers are specifically made to keep the horses safe and protected during the drive.

According to Wide Open Pets, horses should be gently encouraged into the trailer and also unloaded with care when they arrive at their destination. Then again, some people simply do not take an animal's comfort and well-being into consideration. This video, for instance, shows a process that is far different from the recommended procedures.

One internet user, Ami Parbs, was driving by when she spotted a horse standing precariously on the bed of a pickup truck, which was reported to be driving at about 70 miles per hour.

It was such a surprising thing to see that Ami had to bring out her phone to record it. After posting it online, many people were very angry at what they deemed to be the driver's carelessness.

Several comments pointed out how dangerous it was for the horse to try to keep its balance while a vehicle was moving so fast.

While speaking to ABC13, horse owner Donna Skura called the whole thing unsafe.

It's unsafe because you don't know what the horse is going to do. He's so big over the sides.

Police revealed that the driver was on his way to work at the Stockyards. He was actually pulled over but since he was not technically doing anything illegal as regards to his method of transporting the horse, he was let go.

The driver reportedly excused his actions by saying that the truck that was supposed to pull the horse trailer wouldn't start that day, so he decided to do this instead.

Even though most people seemed to think what he did was wrong, there were a few social media commenters who were on his side.

The good news is that the horse, which apparently was worth $15,000, eventually made it to the Stockyards safely.

Do you think the driver should be punished for this mode of transportation? Or are people simply overreacting to something that isn't a big deal?
