Throughout Meghan’s pregnancy, her mum, Doria Ragland, has been by her side to help her. The soon-to-be grandmother has reportedly flown to London to be at her daughter’s side, as her due date is approaching.

While it’s normal for a mother to support her daughter through pregnancy, it is reported that Doria’s visit to London is not only about supporting. Rumors have it that Meghan asked her mother to be the nanny of baby Sussex.

According to Daily Star, the rumors claim that Doria has been taking newborn specialist classes in Los Angeles with the Cradle Company, in Pasadena.

The training includes courses in CPR, first aid, basic baby care, and breastfeeding and lactation consultancy.

Also, Doria has her own room at Frogmore Cottage. Given that Prince Harry and Meghan are moving into their newly renovated 10-room mansion, it’s no surprise that Doria holds claim to one of the rooms.

However, if she isn’t spending so much time with them, why would she have a place to herself?

Finally, reports have it that Doria has quit her job at a mental health clinic in Los Angeles.

Although the decision was made before Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding last year, it seems Doria was clearing up her schedule in preparation for a grandchild.

While Kensington Palace is yet to confirm Doria’s new role, all the signs are pointing to it. Nevertheless, if Meghan didn’t ask her Mum to be her baby’s nanny, there is no doubt that Doria would spend a lot of time with baby Sussex anyway!
