Family is the first and the most important society of a newborn baby. It becomes the tiny model of the world, teaching them to communicate effectively, and promoting their comprehensive development.
We can safely say that baby Sussex, Archie Harrison, was lucky to be born to loving parents. The whole British Royal Family welcomed him with open arms and are eager to contribute to his upbringing.
But what about the family from his mother’s side?
According to the official statement, Meghan Markle’s mother, Archie’s granny, was by the new mom’s side in the Frogmore Cottage. Doria Ragland is overjoyed to welcome her first grandson and be able to help the Duchess take care of him.
The baby’s grandfather, Thomas Markle, was not included in the statement, though. He has been put aside of the family issues and wasn’t even sent the news about the delivery of Archie Harrison.
However, he made his own statement, greeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the arrival of the first son.
According to Daily Mail, he said:
I'm delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well. I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour.
He also added:
GOD bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and GOD save the Queen.
The relationship between Meghan Markle and his dad got tensed when he didn’t show up for the royal wedding in May 2018. Back then, he had suffered from a heart attack so attending the event would carry even more health risks.
Thomas Markle is already the happy grandfather of 5! His daughter Samantha is the mother of three: Ashleigh, 33, Chris, 31, and Noel, 21. His son Thomas Jr has two sons: Tyler, 26, and Thomas III, 27.
Still, he is disappointed not to have any communication with Meghan and her new family. He said he didn’t deserve such a treatment, even though he couldn’t be called a perfect father.
Will he have a chance to hold his royal grandson in the future? There is no answer to this question. The arrival of the child can be a perfect reason to bury the hatchet and stop the family feud.
Every child needs a family. Let’s hope Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will have a lucky chance to meet every member of his.
