Former model and current First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump is known for her style choices, if nothing else. Her style is often well tailored and chic, as is befitting a woman of her status.
However, her fashion sense does not always lead her in the right direction and as such, FLOTUS has been known to make some fashion mistakes every now and then.
Her fashion error took place in Belgium, during the second part of a NATO summit.
Melania Trump had on a white Elie Saab dress, which is estimated to be retailed at $7,450, and paired it with nude pumps by Christian Louboutin.
Now, neither the colour of the dress, its designer, nor the extravagant prices, was the issue here. The style, however, was where the error lay, as it was a sheer see-through dress.
There seemed to be some nude-illusion panelling done from her waist to bust area, and many observers were not comfortable with her choice of style, especially for a woman in her position.
However, as memory serves, this is not FLOTUS’s first time showing off some skin inappropriately at official occasions.
On February 5th last year, as many would recall, she stepped out in semi-sheer light blue sweater, by Derek Lam, at a Super Bowl party.
When stating her opinion on the sweater, Vanessa Friedman, the fashion director at the New York Times, said it wasn't appropriate.
According to her, it was too racy for someone in the First Lady's position, even though it was most probably unintentional.
And can one forget the infamous parka with the words ‘I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?’ emblazoned on it?
She wore the jacket while going to visit immigrant children who had been separated from their families by her husband's administration.
In August, she fell under some fire for visiting Texas after Hurricane Augusta, while wearing 4-Inch stiletto heels by Manolo Blahnik.
Some people seem to think FLOTUS has simply taken up trolling. Whether or not that is the case, one can only wonder when and where her next fashion faux pas will occur.
