Hold on to your fancy hats, because your favorite TV hosts, Molly Shannon and Will Ferren are getting in on the royal wedding frenzy! The two decided to team up and make the royal wedding much better (yes, that's possible)!
Molly and Will aren't official royal correspondents, but their characters - Tish Cattigan and Cord Hosenbeck - aren't either. Still, they're betting to provide some of the best, most hilarious and anecdotic royal wedding coverage!
Sure enough, even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be watching it afterwards!
Produced by Funny or Die, the coverage will air May 19 at 7:30 A.M. EST to chronicle all the events in a timely manner! The primetime will replay May 19 at 9:45 P.M. Special guests such as Tim Meadows are expected to be on hand to help Will and Molly cover all the festivities and the entire wedding procession.
Will's character, Cord Hosenbeck is described as a frequent radio and television host dedicated to mental and physical well-being, who has been an author of more than 30 books on subjects ranging from dressing to diet and success.
Molly's character, Tish Cattigan, is described as a former Miss Arizona, who has also authored many books, dedicated to subjects of wellness, marriage, co-dependency, and relationships.
In an official press release, Cord Hosenbeck said that 'this wedding is going to be a blast,' and we have no reason to disagree! Then Cord added:
There will be more luxury packed into that church than all the Bed, Bath & Beyonds combined.
Cord and Tish made headlines at the beginning of 2018 when they hosted Amazon's live coverage of the Rose Parade. Though the comedy and some jokes earned a bunch of negative reviews from Amazon users, everyone who watched the air remembered this one-of-a-kind duo!
In the short promo clip released by HBO recently, Will Ferrell got stuck in a phone box while Molly Shannon broke character and lost it laughing. However, you know that watching the joke yourself is much better than listening to our explanations, so check out the promo, right below.
Since the promotional trailer has been released, viewers fell completely in love with it! If the show is going to be similar to this 2-minute clip, you won't be able to miss even a second of it. Because Tish and Cord make a perfect pair!
The special will be written and executive produced by Ferrell and Andrew Steele, alongside producer Shannon. In case you still don't have a countdown on your calendar - it's the prime time to change the situation. Remember: early start time of the air is 7:30 A.M. EST! Enjoy the show!
The real royal wedding will take place on May 19. The first members of the public are expected to arrive at St. George's Chapel from 9 A.M. Harry and Meghan's wedding guests are expected to arrive between 9:30 and 11 A.M.
