Meghan Markle received nothing but the warm welcomings from the royal family since she got engaged with Prince Harry in October last year.
After the royal wedding, her life turned into an eventful whirlpool of protocols that regulate how a British royal should behave.
At the Trooping the Color, the first major royal event Meghan has participated in, she looked glorious in a peachy dress by Caroline Herrera. She arrived wearing an elegant and laconic hat by Philip Treacy that could not hide her shiny brunette curls.
As the whole family was standing at the balcony, Meghan Markle seemed to hide away behind her sister-in-law Catherine. Or was there a reason for such an order?
The royal expert Joe Little revealed to People that the position each family member takes on the balcony is not accidental.
Meghan cannot hold the front and central position, as she is Charles' youngest son's wife, and Harry is the sixth in line to the Throne. However, the spot she had was quite favorable. Meghan was literary standing behind the Queen!
Back in 2011 when Catherine joined the same celebration for the first time, she was placed in the first row, but on the far left from the center.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, the former actress felt “nervous” at her debut at Trooping the Color parade.
So maybe it’s all for good that she didn’t need to stand at the front. She managed to do well anyway, having the best support she could hope for - her husband's, the Duke Harry of Sussex.
He explained to his wife what was to be expected, and what they had to do during the parade. Lip readers revealed what he told her: “Then there's the fly-past and then we all look up to the sky.”
Apparently, Meghan Markle still has to explore and adopt many rules and customs of the royal family!
