Prince William and Prince Harry have been known to be quite close for a very long time. Of course, now that they each have their own respective families, they may not be able to spend as much time together as they used to.
However, some fans are concerned about the fact that it took so long for Prince William and Kate Middleton to meet Prince Harry's baby, a possible sign that there might be some discord between the brothers.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that their first child, Archie Harrison, was born on Monday, May 6th, 2019. They were congratulated by fans all over the world, as the baby's arrival was a very much anticipated event.
While both Prince William and Kate Middleton offered their congratulations as well, it was reported that it would not be until Tuesday, May 14th, that they'd get to meet the baby. That's eight days after the child was born.
One might have expected that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would have been the first ones to go say hi to the new parents, right?
Well, according to reports, the couple's reason for not visiting the Sussexes earlier wasn't due to any animosity. For one thing, William and Kate were really busy in the days following Archie's arrival.
A day after the birth, the couple's royal duties took them to London where they launched a new sailing race. And on Wednesday, they both took a trip to North Wales for other royal events.
Prince William and Duchess Kate did show that despite their busy schedule, little Archie was on their mind. When asked if he had any words for Meghan and Harry, William congratulated the new parents and welcomed his brother "to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!”
He also said he was thrilled for them and couldn't wait to see the couple in a few days, when things quiet down.
Even though the brothers weren't together at this special time, it's pretty clear that William couldn't be happier for Harry and his growing family. His lovely words showed that he wished Harry and Meghan nothing but the best.
