At least once in a lifetime, almost every one of us has a very unfortunate experience in public bathrooms. In most cases, we go through it alone, but there is one dad who found himself in a dire situation and, luckily, had his own little cheerleader by his side.
The creator of No Idea What I'm Doing: A Daddy Blog shared a hilarious story of a nature call in the middle of nowhere. The proud father of three was on a road trip with his family when they stopped at a gas station for some rest. His wife stayed in their car with their two older children, while the dad and his 4-year-old daughter, Aspen, went to get some snacks.
While searching for some cornflakes, the dad's stomach felt funny and he had to run to the bathroom. There was little to no time, so he had to take Aspen with him.
It was pure hell for the dad as the diarrhea hit him bad. But his 4-year-old seemed completely unfazed by what was happening and proceeded to cheer him on:
Good job, Daddy! Good job! You make two poops! Now three poops! I’m four!
The dad assumed that Aspen still remembered her experience being potty trained, so she wanted to return the favor to her daddy. The entire ordeal took a while, but the 4-year-old never stopped reassuring her dad that he was doing a great job.
Completely exhausted and ashamed, the dad returned to his family hoping to keep the story secret from his wife, when impressed Aspen proceeded to recount every little detail. She ended her tale with one final "Nice work, Daddy."
The blog's followers absolutely loved the story and even shared similar experiences with their kids.
The power of a child's support is sometimes absolutely astounding!
