Luckily, there are exercises that you can engage in to train yourself to focus some more.

No, we are not talking about working out. We refer to the lines of meditation and mind exercises. This is why we have a puzzle for you.

Solving this puzzle is not about wit. It is about how well you can concentrate to find a hidden image.

Take a good look at the picture below. Can you find the lover?

Don't let anything distract you. Pay close attention, and you just might spot something peeking. Oops! Did we just give you a hint?

The brain is divided into two parts: the voluntary part that controls things such as pausing when we see a snake, while the involuntary one takes care of things like making a decision about something.

Usually, it is the involuntary part that controls what happens in the voluntary.

The voluntary part, also called System 2, takes care of willpower and concentration, but with so much to pay attention to, it becomes tough to stay focused. That is why it advised that we train our minds.

Before we get to how to boost your attention span, have you been able to find the lover?

If you look closely, you'll see some strands of hair peeking out from behind the tree and a shoe! That's right! Granny's lover is behind the tree trunk.

Even if you didn't get this puzzle right, that's okay. Look at the following tips to improve your attention span.

1. Focus on doing one thing at a time. Say 'no' to multitasking;

2. Drink some tea to get your neurotransmitters to help you focus;

3. Keep your space free of clutter;

4. Listen to some music without lyrics;
