The allicin contained in garlic keeps the blood vessels from becoming inflamed. Start by crushing six garlic cloves, and mix them with juice from three oranges. Add two tablespoons of olive oil to your mixture and allow the solution to sit for about 12 hours.

Once this is done, the mixture can be applied to the affected area in circular motions for about 15 minutes so your skin absorbs it completely.

This is the most effective and popular home remedy for dealing with varicose veins. Apple cider vinegar reduces swelling and improves blood circulation and aloe vera contains anti-inflammatory qualities. The recipe calls for three aloe vera leaves, 1 carrot and half a cup of apple cider vinegar.

Begin by extracting the gel from the Aloe Vera leaves. Blend the carrot and then mix with the aloe vera gel. After that, add the apple cider vinegar to your mixture and mix once again until you get a smooth, well-blended paste.

Apply this paste to the affected areas and leave it for 30 minutes before washing off. You can also apply before bed, leave it on overnight and wash with cold water in the morning.

This has anti-inflammatory purposes as well. Blend some chopped cabbage leaves and add some water until you get a fine paste. The paste can then be applied to the swollen areas. Afterward, cover the area with a cotton cloth and leave for two hours. When this is done, wash off with water.

Its antioxidant nature makes it the perfect remedy for varicose veins. It also helps to improve circulation. You can make your very own ginger tea by cutting fresh ginger into pieces, add them to a cup of boiling water and allow to simmer for about ten minutes. Then strain the water and add some honey to taste.

Parsley is loaded with vitamin C and rutin which helps in strengthening the capillaries. This reduces the pain caused by varicose veins.

Chop some parsley and put in a cup of water then leave to boil for about five to seven minutes. Allow your mix to cool, then dip a cotton ball in it and apply it over the veins that are affected. You can do this about twice a day until the spider veins lines clear up.

Some lifestyle changes such as exercising regularly, elevating the legs and avoiding constricting or tight clothing as much as possible can help prevent varicose veins.
