Two-Month-Old Baby Catches A Serious Disease From Unvaccinated Sibling And The Internet Is Shocked At The Mother’s Response.

Every child has a special figure in their lives, someone who takes care of them and caters for their well-being and happiness.

Most touching is the fact that, at the first signs of any discomfort to a child, this special figure stops at nothing to restore wholeness. We call this special figure 'MOTHER'. Sadly, this woman has broken the mother code by being responsible for the illness of her children, and she is not sorry for her actions.

The importance of child vaccination cannot be overemphasized and should not be ignored by anyone, especially mothers. This anti-vax mom, who put her children at an avoidable risk, took to the internet to share her story and seek help.

This is exactly what I think of when I think of trashy- asking for sympathy because you caused your child to contract a preventable illness from r/trashy

In the post, she described herself as a ‘real mom’ who don't believe in vaccination, but that did not turn out too well for her kids. Her two-month-old son is in the hospital being treated for pertussis, or whooping cough as it is commonly known

The little boy got the illness from his unvaccinated sister and is in a horrible state, but the mother does not seem to think she had any role to play in it.

She mentioned that she's been mom-shamed all day but stood her ground on her belief.

Now, she seeks encouragement from people because, to her, she did the right thing. Is it insensitive?

This failed mother did not draw the line between beliefs and saving her children from a life-threatening avoidable illness.

More saddening is the fact that, if proper medical attention, is not duly given to those kids, they may end up with a permanent defect or even face death.

Several internet users commented by expressing their disappointment at her action.

One cannot overemphasize the importance of vaccines for a baby's health. Research shows that babies are born with natural immunity from their mothers, but it only lasts for a year or so. This is why not only is the use of vaccinations to boost children immunity essential, it is also vital to prevent them from developing contagious diseases.

Vaccination helps both the children and the society at large, as it protects the health of a community. Hopefully, this woman heeds to the advice given and becomes a real mom indeed!
