Harry and Meghan’s Instagram account is about to beat William and Kate’s one with 8M followers just in one month. Does it mean the Sussexes are winning in this ‘social media battle’?
The Sussexes almost win!
Nowadays, we live in the world which is inseparable from the Internet and social media. It’s hard to find a person who doesn’t have an account on Instagram or any other social media platform. Members of the royal family are not an exception.
The royal lovebirds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched their personal Instagram account a month ago with an inspirational first post.
Their post stated:
Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues…
After a day since the Sussexes’ account was created, it almost set a new record with 2 million followers in 24 hours.
Now, Harry and Meghan’s Instagram counts 8M followers. Sounds incredible, doesn’t it?
Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s account @kensingtonroyal counts 8.8M followers. This number has been reached within several years.
Considering the numbers, it is fair to suggest that soon the Sussexes will overrun the Cambridges in their popularity on social media.
What’s your bet? Who will win in this Instagram ‘battle’?
