Stronger Body And Spirit - A Woman Lost 150 Pounds Despite Of Chronic Pain

December 1, 2017

This woman knows what it is to be strong now! And it does not mean only physical strength! She underwent a beautiful transformation of her body and spirit!

Emily Puglielli  started her weight loss journey in 2012, she was weighting 300 ponds back then, seeing her own picture from a wedding she attended with her husband shocked her to the core, this is  when she decided to start acting!

She was recovering from 10 hour spinal surgery, and never thought she could be walking again, so fitness exercises or running were just a dream for her. She started easy with cutting carbs and then walking little by little, and only in 2015 involved gym training at The Edge Fitness Club. She consulted a professional coach who created a special fitness routine considering Emily’s health condition. She felt it so hard to do certain exercises, and now she is amazed with herself how much stronger she became.

I remember how far I've come and that fitness has been a true lifesaver for me. The Edge has a weight-loss competition, The Edge Challenge, which is an eight-week challenge that I have done several times. It's a great way to stay on track, and the teamwork is excellent; it really pushes you to try new things and get out of your comfort zone.

Now her dreams became reality and she is running, even participating in a competitions from her fitness club. She tells the Popsugar in the Interview that consistence is the key to success, as well as a smart combination of healthy eating and physical exercise. Meal prepping is everything! Emily’s favourite choice for breakfast is oatmeal or sweet potato, a lot of veggies and lean protein for lunch. As a snack she prefers berries and apples.

Emily confesses she is stronger than she could ever think of herself. She suffers from constant pain, and as she says now she learned how to live with it, but she is eager to support all those who struggle on their way to the same kind of transformation.

If you haven't started, it's never too late. Even if you start with the smallest changes, over time they can really add up. Never let anyone hold you back from what you know you can achieve. You can honestly accomplish so much more than you ever thought you could.

Now Emily is 150 pounds, twice less from what she has been, she feels stronger than never before, but this is what you become when you challenge yourself despite of the obstacles and hardship.
