Cardiovascular exercises are very popular among fitness addicts. Anyway, you do not have to be an athlete to include them into your daily life. Such type of physical training improves your heart and lungs work, protecting from cardio diseases risk.
There is plenty of choice – swimming, running, jumprope training, stair climbing, rowing all is up to your liking. The key to successful cardio workout is to sustain the pulse rate level, and perform the training for more than 20 minutes.
Why 20 minutes exactly? During this time body would use blood glucose as a fuel, and when it is depleted – stored fat, which is extremely important for weight loss.
American Heart Association recommends to perform cardio workout
5 times a week – for moderate speed exercises 30 min;
3 times a week – moderate plus high intensity workouts 25-30 min;
2 times a week – moderate intensity plus muscle-strengthening activity.
Apart from weight loss and heart strengthening, cardio workouts sustains blood pressure. Intense heart work will increase the blood circulation, and loosen the blood vessels which allows to deliver more oxygen to your body.
Cardio workouts is an effective anti-stress remedy because of endorphin release. Anyway before starting workout out, check your health in order to understand what workout intensity is good for you.
You may start with small portions, 5 or 10 minutes just to build the habit, and then increase intensity and time gradually. It is up to everybody to choose proper time for cardio, as some people feel more energetic in the morning, and some need few hours to pull themselves together after waking up.
