Is It A Dog Or A Statue? People Are Really Confused After Woman Shares Instagram Photos Of Her Beloved Pet
Well, Sandra can confirm it's an image of her dog, named Piper, there is no doubt that her dog piqued our interest.
Piper's breed is what is known as a Mexican Hairless Dog, or a Xoloitzcuintli (pronounced "show-low-eats-QUEENT-lee"), which is the official breed name.
According to the American Kennel Club, the Xoloitzcuintli makes a great companion and is a vigilant watchdog as well. It usually comes in three sizes and may either be hairless or coated.
Sandra told LadBible that she got Piper last March, when the beauty was only two months old.
She said she was initially surprised by people's reaction to Piper's photos, but later decided to take it as a compliment.
It was so funny to see all these compliments coming through of people thinking Piper was a statue. They were all really confused and asking me whether she was real or not.

Sandra said she had gotten so used to Piper's appearance that she no longer noticed how different the dog looked. But she soon realized that people seeing Piper for the first time may see something different.
She found it flattering that people were mistaking her dog for a work of art.
The 22-year-old medical student actually loves the statue-like appearance of her dog. So much so that she often gives her a regular polish using virgin coconut oil.
And one of the best things about Piper, Sandra revealed, is that, being hairless, she's easy to groom. All the dog requires is a mild dog shampoo and some coconut oil to moisturize her skin.
It must be pretty cool to have such an interesting breed of dog and Sandra is certainly quite proud of Piper and her uniqueness.
