Almost Deaf And Blind Dog Max Saved 3-Year-Old Lost In The Woods For The Cold And Rainy Night

Date April 25, 2018

It is hard to deny the beautiful connection dogs make with their owners! Dogs have been widely known for their devotion to the humans, and the sacrifices they make for their people.

This old blue heeler, 17-year-old Max, proved his unbreakable loyalty to the 3-year-old toddler. The girl had gone to the woods, and while wandering with her dog, she lost the track leading back home.

Her grandmother Leisa Bennett reported missing Aurora Kyle to the police on Friday at 3 pm. The whole evening the rescue team did not have a clue about the girl’s location. The weather was cold and rainy and the family feared the worst.

As the search continued early in the morning of Saturday, they tracked Aurora down at 8 am. But at first, they spotted her dog Max, who led the searchers to the little girl.

Ms. Bennet who was with the police and volunteers heard her granddaughter shouting back. “I shot up the mountain ... and when I got to the top, the dog came to me and led me straight to her.”

That was amazing, but Max did not leave Aurora’s side for a moment. They spent the rainy and cold night together, cuddling and keeping each other’s warm.

The territory around the house is quite wild, it is “mountainous and inhospitable terrain to go walking in”, as the State Emergency Service’s area controller Ian Phipps mentioned.

He said the girl was found 2 kilometers away from home, so it is amazing that she had got only a few scratches.

She spent 16 hours without food and water. However, the loyal friend by her side did not let her fall into despair.

The family reunited with lots of emotions and happy tears! The dog Max, who saved little Aurora’s life has now been declared an honorary police dog.
