The grumpy cat meme was an internet sensation some years back, but now it seems as though there is a contender for the most cantankerous cat, only this new entry is quite lovable, too.
Our new grumpy cat contender, Saul, was found by a passerby with a good heart while it wandering the streets of London, in England.
When he was found, he had some injuries and so the good samaritan, realizing he needed medical attention, called the RSPCA.
According to the veterinary director of the RSPCA in London, Caroline Allen, Saul was brought in by one of their animal collection officers after he was found along Peckham's high street, under the falling rain.
😾😾 Grouchy ginger boy, Saul, is today's #TongueOutTuesday! He was brought to Putney Animal Hospital after being hit by a car, but has made an amazing recovery - not that you'd know from the peeved pussycat's face! Upon inspection, some of the vets at the hospital were of the opinion that Saul was involved in some sort of road accident, resulting in the injured teeth, jaw and his sore eye.
So, as it would seem, Saul did have a reason to look grumpy.
Saul was taken care of and furnished with everything he needed to make a full recovery.
He is now the apple of everyone's eye and is being showered with all the love and affection he deserves by the hospital team.
The grumpy yet lovable kitty did not have a microchip, and it’s been speculated that he was living as a stray pet before his being rescued.
Despite his trademark grumpy look, the hospital team has found Saul to be quite an affectionate little guy.
Thanks to the professional care he's been subjected to, he's made a speedy recovery and is now able to move around on his own and explore the hospital.
Saul, who enjoys being carried and spoiled by the vet nurses at the hospital, has been said to demand attention from everyone around.
He also occupies the feline security role at the hospital on a temporary basis.
Once he is fully recovered, Saul will move to an adoption center at Southhall till a loving family adopts him.
Saul's story shows us that the dourest looking fellows can be quite sweet and loving when you get to know them.
Also, one must always pay attention to lone animals that seem to have no one. You might be their only hope for a bright future.
