Poor Dog Abandoned In A Trash Can Was Luckily Rescued By An Kindhearted Unidentified Stranger And Given The Attention She Deserved
Love is a powerful feeling, perhaps one of the most powerful and driving emotions anyone can feel towards another living being.
It comes along with a lot of strings attached, including trust, loyalty, and even dependence.

It is not exclusive to humans, though, and animals have been known to form strong bonds with their friends.
At times, however, due to certain circumstances, that animal may become abandoned by his or her owner. What happens, then? Can the animal love again?

A study conducted in Hungary, known as the ‘Strange Situation Test,’ proved this. Dogs, even after being neglected and abandoned, can form strong bonds again when a new person adopts them.
The story of the dog abandoned in a trash can
There are things some people do that leave the rest of us genuinely bewildered at their cold-heartedness.
A puppy was recently found freezing in a trash can located in a welcome center, off one highway in Georgia.
The Hart County Animal Rescue is working towards finding the person behind the heinous act.
The dog, a chihuahua or a mix, has been named Caroline. She was discovered when someone heard her crying in the trash can. When she was pulled out, she was wet, freezing, hungry and very afraid.
After being rescued, she was taken to the Lavonia Animal Hospital and taken care of properly. Applications for adoptions are currently being received, even though it will be a little while before she is ready to move in with a new family.
The spokesperson for the Animal rescue told Fox News that they didn't have a lead that would help them locate the culprit, as there were no cameras in the area.
Also, the spokesperson noted that now that she is being catered for, Caroline is in much better spirits.
How do I help a stray dog?
Helping a stray dog is important because you could be the animal's only hope. There are some procedures to be followed, though.
Firstly, assess the situation: Consider your safety and the animals. If it is possible to catch the animal and take them in, do so. If not, contact the animal control agency in your area. Having their numbers at hand is essential.
When you catch the dog, inspect it for an ID, or take it to a vet to see it if has a microchip.
Afterward, take it to a shelter or call the animal agency in your area to report a found dog.
Furthermore, you can list the dog in the local newspaper and on sites like Petfinder.

If you take the pet to your home, do well to provide a safe space separate from the one preferred by your own pets, if you have any. Never adopt a stray dog until you have taken every possible step to find the animal’s real owner.
Animals should not be treated as though they were less than humans. They are sentient beings and we have the responsibility of showing love and care to all creatures. You can start today!
