1. She once lost a lot of weight

In 2008, some unflattering photos of the princess in a bikini made the rounds. Many lashed out at her due to her weight. Two years later she dropped up to 20 pounds. She told DailyMail she regretted putting on that swimwear but she was proud of how far she had come.

2. She's very polite, compared to her sister Eugenie

In a 2008 interview, Princess Eugenie revealed that she's a bit more outgoing than Beatrice. "I sort of inherited my dad's short fuse," she said, then went on to explain that she was often the bubbling, loud and bright light of the party while Beatrice was "far more polite and solicitous."

3. She's not a working royal

Like her sister, Eugenie, Princess Beatrice is not a working royal. While she retains her title, she is still free to do whatever she wants outside the monarchy. She has built a career for herself as the vice president of partnerships and strategy at US-based company Afiniti.

In 2010, Princess Beatrice trained for and ran the London Marathon. She was the first member of the Royal Family to do this. Beatrice ran with her friends in order to raise money for some charity organizations.
