Sarah Ferguson Believes She'll Make The "Best Mother-In-Law" Ahead Of Daughter Princess Eugenie's Wedding

Sarah, the Duchess of York said she's taking her mother-of-the-bride duties very seriously and looks forward to being a great mother-in-law.


Sarah Ferguson's and Jack Brooksbank have a close relationship

Since the announcement of Princess Eugenie's engagement to Jack Brooksbank, it has been pretty clear that Sarah completely approves of their impending union. In fact, the Duchess and Jack actually share a pretty close friendship which has been evident a few times.

For example, during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in May, Sarah could be seen sharing a smile and a hug with his soon-to-be son-in-law.

The royal is definitely excited that her daughter will be marrying the love of her life in a matter of months.

A rare interview

The Duchess of York was recently a guest on BBC One's The One Show where she talked wedding plans and how she intends to fit into her daughter's family in the years to come.

She affectionately described herself as 'MOB' (mother of the bride) and said that Jack has been a wonderful addition to their family over the years. 


She described Jack as the bringer of light and joy into the York family and talked about the close bond she shares with the young man.

Sarah also stated that she would be "the best" mother-in-law. Even though the wedding is yet to take place, it seems the Duchess is already excited to be a grandma as well.


She said the soon-to-be-wed couple are actually looking forward to her being their kids' grandmother because "I write children's books and I'm a child I haven't grown up."

The royal wedding

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who announced their engagement in January, are set to tie the knot on October 12, 2018.


They will wed at St.George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, the same venue where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said their vows a few months ago.
