The Duchess of Cambridge has recently made a rather shocking appearance in public. This time, she was not on an official engagement in the company is her husband Prince William. Instead, she appeared as a regular Christmas shopper at a discount supermarket in King's Lynn, Norfolk.

Kate Middleton's last minute Christmas shopping

In preparation for the holidays, Kate Middleton was seen at The Rangers to get festive gifts for other Royal members, according to The Sun. The 36-year-old and her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, bought trolley loads of pictures, children's books, and art materials. She was then photographed while waiting to pay for her items at the till.

A co-shopper never believed it was Kate in the store until she spotted George and Charlotte. The mom mentioned that, to further disguise themselves as a regular Christmas shopper, their protection officers stayed discreetly at a distance.

This woman, who must have been excited at recognizing Kate, garnered courage and asked the royal for a selfie with her kids. However, her request she was sweetly denied by Kate.
