Barbra Streisand has had a phenomenal career as a singer, actress, songwriter, and filmmaker. With an astounding record of having songs that top charts every decade since the 1960s, she is a music goddess.

The 76-year-old has won every major entertainment award there is: Tony, Emmy, Golden Globe, Grammy (10 to be precise).

Josh Groban, on the other hand, has not been around for so long but his record is impressive. The 37-year-old got a jump-start in his career when he stood in for music maestro, Andrea Bocelli during the 1998 Grammy rehearsal. In 1999, he got the chance to sing alongside Celine Dion.

Before releasing his first album in 2003, he got a papal invitation to the Vatican to perform during the Christmas concert. In 2004, the critically acclaimed 'You Raised Me Up' was released. Since then, it has been an uphill journey for the fella, and when he crossed paths with one of his idols, it was a dream come true.

The song we have fallen in love with

The latest collaboration between these music icons was in late 2018, when they teamed up to sing Somewhere, an original score of the 1957 Broadway musical West Side Story,  which was later turned into a movie, in 1961. Streisand released her version in 1985, and now she has reprised the song with a beautiful twist - Josh Groban.

With Groban's classical training and Streisand's soulful singing, the duet turned out perfectly. In an interview uploaded on Youtube, Streisand revealed that this is not their first collaboration. She explained that when Groban was 19 and Andrea Bocelli, with whom she was supposed to sing, was unavailable; the teenager was asked to step up.

"We had him sing on the Bocelli track. We released the record with Josh but he was like a step-in singer, you know? But I always thought he was wonderful."
