Managing a small baby is quite a challenge, especially with long nails! But for some moms, being loyal to their fashion style comes as a paramount task. Khloe Kardashian is one of such mothers.
Being a public figure, she got used to adoration, worshipping, and being the target of criticism and judgments. Khloe has always been a fan of long nails, and nothing changed after she gave birth to her baby girl, True.
However, she seems to be fed up with people’s opinion about how she manages the baby with such manicure.
She even expressed her irritation on Twitter. In a post that got people talking, the TV show star explains that she is handling her duties just fine.
It’s annoying when people talk about my nails. Trust me, I manage just fine. The same way I take care of myself, I take care of my baby. There are more serious things to discuss. At least I would hope. 🙄 happy Monday to you— Khloé (@khloekardashian) 18 лютого 2019 р.
But it seems like her long manicure troubles bothered other parents, who went on giving negative comments.
Working in healthcare I can tell you they are FILLED with bacteria and viruses! Have some swabs done you will never have them again!!!!— Amy Lloyd (@twinsmom0922) 18 лютого 2019 р.
As a mom, I’d be afraid I might accidentally poke my child. As a nurse, it’s difficult to keep very long nails hygienic.— nurse0500 (@nurse0500) 18 лютого 2019 р.
yes but there are certain bacteria’s that can be under the nails that maybe shouldn’t be exposed to babies, i.e. ecoli— ami (@amiohkayy) 19 лютого 2019 р.
I find it impressive. I can barely manage with my short nails lol.— Li Boogz (@liboogz13) 18 лютого 2019 р.
The routine chores of a typical mom include changing a nappy, clipping baby’s nails and bathing the little one. Long fingernails may get in the way of doing all that successfully. As dirt gets trapped under the nails, it becomes the perfect environment for growing bacteria.
Putting that aside, there is also the fact that a baby’s fragile skin may be hurt easily. The young body doesn’t have a strong defense system against bacteria, thus it is more exposed to infection.
Other moms prefer acrylic nails to natural ones, as they are softer and smoother. While some say it is just a matter of taste, others are convinced that long manicure can harm small children. Short nails mean safer and cleaner. Do you agree with Khloe or you are on the critics’ side?
