A Duchess' Dilemma! Did Queen Elizabeth Actually Ban One Of Meghan Markle's Favorite Foods From The Menu?
When you go from being a regular Hollywood actress to being a member of the royal family, it's understandable that you have to give up a few things. But do they also include your favorite foods?
There have been reports that Queen Elizabeth has some specifications when it comes to the food she eats. This means that when other members of the royal family are in her company, they may have to eat these foods.
Royal chef Darren McGrady, while speaking with Recipe Plus, revealed that foods like garlic, pasta, rice, and potatoes have been banned from the Buckingham Palace menu. This is because the monarch has decided to do away with these carb-loaded meals.
While this sounds like a healthy adjustment, it may especially affect Meghan Markle, who once declared her love for pasta.
During an interview with Delish, Meghan revealed that she loved pasta very much. She even described the pasta sauce she absolutely adored, which is made up of slow-cooked courgette. She called it a "filthy, sexy mush."
If the Duchess of Sussex had plans to show the Queen her special pasta delicacy, it probably won't be happening anytime soon.
Apart from sharing the foods that the Queen would rather not eat, McGrady also told Recipe Plus about Her Majesty's go-to snack - a banana. He even described the special way the Queen eats it.
She’ll cut off the bottoms and cut the banana lengthwise, and then cut the banana into tiny slices to eat with a fork.
Well, if you're the Queen of England, you're allowed to eat a banana any way you want.
