Meghan Markle Pays A Touching Tribute To Princess Diana A Few Hours After Announcing Her Pregnancy
A few hours after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they are expecting their first child, the couple kicked off their Australian tour. Then fans noticed that mom-to-be Meghan Markle chose to make a statement with her choice of jewelry for the occasion.
The Duchess stepped out in a gorgeous white dress and she accessorized with a pair of butterfly earrings which were previously worn by Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.
The Princess of Wales was spotted wearing these jewels when she went on a trip to Canada with Prince Charles back n 1986. This was about a year and a half after Diana gave birth to Prince Harry.
Meghan also paid a tribute to Diana by wearing one of her mother-in-law's bracelets, which featured lovely blue stones.
It is also Diana's bracelet that Meghan is wearing. The bracelet and earrings belonging to Diana definitely is a touching tribute to the late Princess Diana on such a special time for the royal couple. #RoyalTourAustralia pic.twitter.com/XBfYj2EdXT— Meghans Mirror (@MeghansMirror) October 15, 2018
This isn't the first time Meghan Markle wore certain jewelry for special occasions to honor the memory of the mother-in-law she never met. On her wedding day, the Duchess chose to wear an aquamarine cocktail ring, which once belonged to Diana, to her reception.
That lovely ring stood out beautifully against Meghan's white Stella McCartney reception dress.
In addition, Meghan Markle's engagement ring, which was given to her by Prince Harry, also featured two diamonds from Diana's personal collection. While explaining how much that meant to her during their engagement interview, Meghan revealed that she wanted Diana to be "a part of this with us."
Looks like Harry and Meghan are not done looking for subtle ways to honor the memory of Princess Diana. And it's pretty sweet to see.
