We have all gotten to see some of the most precious moments from the royal family in pictures. But what really happens behind the scenes? Royal photographer Chris Jackson is opening up what goes on under the royal's hats and why these 12 pictures are his favorites.
1. When the knife refuses to cooperate.
2. A joke between royals
This moment between the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Sussex, which took place on Prince Charles 70th birthday, is also a favorite of his. The women were laughing about something while Prince Harry was giving a speech.
3. Fun and casual royals
This shot was taken in 2006. Capturing the royals at their most relaxed was something Jackson enjoyed.
4. 'Thank you for my flowers'
In an interview with Town&Country, Jackson says Princess Charlotte was receiving her first bouquet of flowers in this photo.
5. Taking in the view
This was a different shot from what the photographer normally takes. He revealed that he didn't think shooting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looking across the view of the river Seine in Paris would work from behind initially. But it turned out great.
6. Will and Kate say 'I do.'
Jackson said he was excited to take the first photos of the newly-married royal couple, but he was very nervous as well. He wanted to get the exposure just right so that the white dress could take center stage. "Fortunately, I got it right," he said.
7. Harry Vs Bolt
The photographer didn't know that Prince Harry would actually race. "We weren't ready for this," he said.
8. The Queen and the poppies
He described this as a "poignant picture", adding that the Queen was surrounded by 888.246 poppies.
9. Hello, baby sister
Jackson said this was an unexpected moment. He loved that Prince George was standing on his tiptoes to see his little sister.
10. Kate loves an adventure
He revealed that he loves to take pictures of Kate Middleton because the Duchess loves to get involved in activities, making for some very candid moments.
11. Garland overkill
Prince Harry was "treated like a rock star" during his visit to Nepal. Jackson revealed that Harry had so many garlands that he could barely walk at one point. .
12. George loves his bubbles
He described it as a 'stand-out' moment for him that day. The awe on George's eyes was amazing to capture.
We have to admit, seeing these photos through Chris Jackson's eyes gives us a whole different perspective of the pictures.
