Date August 28, 2018 15:28

It's not always easy being a member of a new family, but we have to say Meghan Markle has been doing a fantastic job of winning over her in-laws. She has been pictured out and about with the members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Kate Middleton. Apparently, she's not doing too bad when it comes to her niece and nephews either.

A special treat

Earlier this year, a palace source revealed to ET that Meghan Markle devised a pretty delicious way to bond with both Prince George and Princess Charlotte. At the time, Kate was still pregnant with Prince Louis, so she certainly had a lot on her plate, but it did not stop her from lending a helping hand.

The source told ET in March that the Duchess of Cambridge was doing "whatever she can" to help Meghan adjust to life as a royal. Even though the mom was juggling two little ones and pregnant with her third, she still managed to make time for her sister-in-law.

Meghan Markle returned the favor by often visiting the Cambridges, treats in hand. The former lifestyle blogger certainly knows her way around the kitchen and the palace source revealed that Meghan would often go over to Will and Kate's home where she prepared and dropped off treats for the couple and their kids.

As we all know, kids can't resist delicious food so we imagine this was probably one of the first things the royal cuties loved about their new aunt Meghan.

Expanding their own family

Meghan officially became a member of the royal family when she and Prince Harry tied the knot in May. According to several reports, the pair are already working on expanding their little family unit.

The UK DailyMail reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex adopted a Labrador Retriever. No official statement has been made, however, so we are yet to find out the name, sex, and color of this four-legged addition to the Sussex home.

One has to wonder if all this means that the pair would soon be welcoming an actual baby into their home. While nothing of the sort has been reported yet, Prince Harry did hint, during their engagement interview, that babies were definitely in the plans. So, we guess it's only a matter of time.

In the meantime, the Duchess can enjoy the attention and love of George, Charlotte, and baby Louis. We bet they are a delight to have around!
