Kate Middleton's took the solo trip to the museum to check out some of the pictures at the new photography center. 

For the visit, the Duchess opted to wear a new off-the-shoulder tweed dress by Erdem, The outfit also featured a burgundy belt and a flared dress. Kate Middleton paired her look with a matching pair of heels and a clutch.

The Duchess' dress was one of those that were featured in the Erdem's spring 2018 collection. Erdem Moralioglu, the designer, said at the London Fashion Week that this specific outfit was inspired by one Queen Elizabeth wore in 1958 when she met American jazz pianist Duke Ellington.

Speaking to The Telegraph at the backstage of the show, Erdem said King George VI was a huge fan of Ellington's music. And when they met, the musician was so enamored by Her Majesty that he wrote a piece of music titled 'The Queen's Suite.'

By the way, Kate Middleton's dress also featured an off-the-shoulder neckline that Meghan Markle has become famous for. In fact, this was the Duchess of Sussex's choice of neckline for her wedding.
