It turns out the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a special love for Disney movies and it's just one more thing the pair has in common.
Harry and Meghan's favorite movies
A few days ago, the royals attended the WellChild Awards - an event aimed at celebrating the achievements of sick children living in the UK. Harry has always been a part of this event as he has been a patron of WellChild for over a decade.
At the event, the Duke talked about one of his special hobbies which had to do with his love for Disney movies. According to royal correspondent Rebecca English, Harry shared that he was a big fan of The Lion King while Meghan revealed that she preferred 'The Little Mermaid.'

Both said they liked Zootropolis and Moana- Harry said his favourite moment was ‘when the chicken [Heihei] comes up and he finds himself out at sea in a boat’.
Even though their tastes were different, they did also admit that they had a shared love for Zootropolis (Zootopia in the U.S.) and Moana.
Like uncle, like nephew
As it turns out, Harry is not the only member of the royal family to enjoy 'The Lion King.'
Last year, the Duke of Cambridge revealed in an interview that this was one of Prince George's favorite movies as well. He told his young interviewer at the time:
He quite likes The Lion King. We've watched that a few times.
As for George's other movie preferences, Prince William said George was also a fan of 'Octonauts' and enjoyed some 'Lego movies.' But he also revealed that he and Kate Middleton try to discourage George from watching too much TV which, understandably, is not always an easy feat.
Trying to keep him off the television is hard work. Not too much TV.
We can just picture the royal cutie enjoying Disney movie marathons with his uncle Harry and aunt Meghan.
Prince William's favorites
Apparently, Prince George also shared similar tastes in a couple of movies with his father. While at the post-BAFTAs ceremony meet and greet earlier this year, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly told Lee Unkrich, director of the 'Coco' that her son and husband had a shared passion for some films including Paddington and Coco.
They [kids] are just getting into films now, George is four-and-a-half. Paddington is definitely up there, and so is Coco now.
Kate revealed that it's a bonding thing for both George and William.
It's great obviously because of William's interest in film, it's great to have that father-son thing.
It's nice to see that the royal family does have a few things in common with us regular folks.
