John Lennon and Paul Mccartney were both members of the English rock band The Beatles along with George Harrison and Ringo Starr. It's been decades since their boy band days and it looks like John and Paul's children are honoring their respective dads in a unique way.
John Lennon and Paul Mccartney's friendship
For many years, John and Paul were very close. Philip Norman, author of Paul McCartney: The Life, once told Closer that long before their fame, the pair were so close that they relied on each other's body heat for warmth during cold days.
It was icy and winds were gushing in. They would literally lie on top of each other so the one at the bottom would keep warm for a while. They shared body heat, that’s how close they were.
Their friendship faced major challenges when the band broke up and they had only just begun to repair things before John Lennon was killed in 1980.
A rare photo
The friendship between John and Paul may have ended, but it looks like their sons are keeping the memory alive. John's son, Sean Ono Lennon shared this photo below of himself and Paul's son James McCartney and fans went crazy.
Not only were people amazed that Sean and James each bears a striking resemblance to their respective fathers, the fact that they were both together gave Beatles' fans quite a thrill.
One Instagram user commented, "Wow, Y'all look exactly like your dads’ and ‘It’s fun to see Lennon & McCartney again. Best wishes to you both!" while another added, "Just make some music together."
This photo definitely got many people nostalgic and it's pretty cool to see that both families still keep in touch.
To some extent, both Sean and James have followed in his fathers' footsteps. Sean has now found fame as a singer and songwriter in the United States. James, on the other hand, is a British musician and songwriter.
Earlier this year, Paul Mccartney honored his late friend by participating in the March For Our Lives protest which was aimed at ending gun violence.
He told CNN:
One of my best friends was killed in gun violence right around here. So it's important to me.
He explained that while he was not sure if it was possible to completely eradicate gun violence, he was happy to do his part.
