The Duke of Sussex reportedly could not hold back tears as the choir sang 'Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer' during his wedding ceremony. The hymn was once one of his late mother's favorites.

The hymn was purposely included on the wedding day as a tribute to Diana.

Prince Harry did a good job of holding it together for most of the song. However, towards the end, he could be seen wiping away some tears.

During an ITV documentary where he discussed how he dealt with the death of his mother, Harry reportedly revealed that he had only cried twice in over 20 years since her passing.

The first time I cried was at the funeral on the island.

The Duke of Sussex said he believed there was some grief that he still needed to "let out", as he admitted he had probably cried only once more since then.

Diana was certainly present on his big day and there were many little things they did to honor her. For example, Meghan Markle's bouquet contained 'forget-me-nots', which were Diana's favorite flowers.

In addition, Lady Di's sister, Lady Jane Fellowes was not only invited to the wedding, but she also gave a reading.

Diana's close friend Elton John was also there. He was asked to play some wonderful songs for the couple during the lunchtime reception hosted by the Queen of England.

Not long after their engagement, in November 2017, it was also revealed that Meghan's engagement ring featured two stones from Diana's personal collection. Speaking of jewelry, the bride also wore one of her late mother-in-law's pieces, an aquamarine ring, on that memorable Saturday.
