According to the latest royal financial reports, the overall travel budget for the entire family is about £2.7 million. However, Prince Charles and Camilla's personal travel budget amounted to almost half of that total.

Between April 1, 2018, and March 31, 2019, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess Of Cornwall reportedly spent £1.3 million. Their cost of travel by air and rail rose by nearly a third, from £1.01 million to £1.33 million.

The report explained that Prince Charles made use of trains mostly and this cost a whopping £20,000 per trip.

The highest expense accumulated was for Charles and Camilla's 11-day trip to the Carribean Islands and Cuba. It cost £416,576 in total. It was then followed by their visit to Africa, which amounted to £216,312.

Speaking about the Prince's costly travels, a palace aide said:

“His overseas travel was at the behest of the Foreign Office who realizes he is a terrific ambassador for Britain.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's trip to Northern Ireland totaled up to £23,325 while the Sussexes tour on Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji cost £81,002.

The report also stated that it would cost the taxpayers a whopping £2.4 million pounds for the refurbishment of Meghan and Harry's home in Frogmore Cottage. Furthermore, the decorations of their new home are said to cost nothing less than £350,000.
