There has been a lot of buzz about the live-action remake of the Disney classic, Aladdin. Will Smith will be taking up the role of the genie in the film, which is set to be released on May 24th.
The film tells the story of a street urchin who finds a lamp with a genie inside. With the wishes granted, the young man was able to turn himself into a prince to win the love of a beautiful princess. He had to deal with several obstacles, too, because an evil villain was after the lamp.
27 years ago, the late actor Robin Williams played the role of the genie in the lamp and Will Smith, who's the star of this soon-to-be-released live-action, remake decided to pay tribute to the man who came before him.
In an Instagram post, Will Smith shared some heartwarming words about Robin Williams. While posting an illustration of the animated rendition of Smith's Genie alongside Williams', the 50-year-old actor said:
I know Genies don’t have Feet... But you left some Big Shoes to fill.

The illustrations were reportedly made by designer and concept artist Luigi Lucarelli, and Smith shared the post only a few hours after the trailer for the film was released.
While posting the sneak peek, Will Smith expressed his excitement for the release of 'Aladdin.' He revealed that he had just seen the finished version of the film and guaranteed that fans were in for a great movie experience.
I can’t wait for y’all to see it.
If you're a fan of Will Smith and a lover of Disney classics, this sounds like one film you shouldn't miss. And judging by the reactions following Smith's post, a lot of people are looking forward to the release.
With comments like "This made me emotional," and "I might be a little too excited about this," there's no doubt that several people would troop out to watch Smith in action.
