No kisses for Neal McDonough

Neal McDonough is a great actor who has proven his talent in various shows such as 'Band of Brothers', 'Mob City', and 'Desperate Housewives.' He is also known for his movie roles as well, as he appeared in 'Star Trek: First Contact', 'The Hitcher', and many more.

But it is also important to live a good Cristian life for Neal. Once the famous actor opened up that he had two rules. One was not to use the Lord's name in vain and the other was not to kiss women on screen.

He even made headlines for refusing to change these beliefs for roles. Neal is happily married to Ruve Robertson and they have five children together. The actor said:

Killing people on screen—that’s fake. That’s not real. When you’re in bed with another woman on screen—guess what? That’s real. I don’t like that kind of stuff.

While his dedication to his beliefs is respectable, there have been a few times where it nearly cost him an acting job. Not all people were understandable. Heal recalled:

When [creator] Marc Cherry signed me, I said, 'I'm sure you know, but I won't kiss anybody.' He was like, 'But this is Desperate Housewives!' I said, 'I know.' He paused for about five seconds and said, 'All right, I'm just going to have to write better.' And we had a great time.

Neal told Closer that it became difficult to get more roles after that, as the word in the industry was that he was some "religious zealot."

I am very religious. I put God and family first, and me second.

All of these drawbacks did not push Neal into giving up his beliefs. Neal is happily married and he never compromised his relationship with God.
