The name Chuck Norris has probably been uttered in every home in the United States as this actor is no stranger to fame. He made his acting debut in the Dean Martin film The Wrecking Crew in 1969. Being well-trained in martial arts, the actor became very popular. His friendship with Bruce Lee resulted in his role in the legendary Way of the Dragon. Many can still remember the famed fight scene, from this film.

His role in the TV series, Walker, Texas Ranger brought him numerous awards, he became a real superstar. Chuck also has a reputation of an incredible fighter as he even created his own fight style, named 'Chun Kuk Do'.

However, there is a battle in which he could not fight himself.

Gena Horris' health problems

Something unexpected and sad happened to Norris' wife Gena in 2013. The woman started to experience some health problems, so she was recommended to get an MRI scan. Doctors suspected it was rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of the problems.

The woman reacted adversely to an injection she was given to perform the test. The complications were severe. Gena went into shock that required intense medical care.

Gena then experienced breathing problems, kidney issues and brain disfunction. Chuck did not hesitate to drop his business to do everything possible to help his wife. He immediately rushed to be by his wife's side through these difficult times.

He said:

'My whole life right now is about keeping her alive'

Supposedly, serious complications were caused by a metal named gadolinium which was used during the MRI procedure.

Luckily, Gena is doing better now. Moreover. she and her husband want to speak for themselves and others who have been affected by the same condition.
