Roberts asked anyone who wanted to give her a birthday gift to donate $49 to support LGBTQ rights. The sum wasn't random. It was a reference to her age at the time.

But that wasn't all, Julia continued to help people in need. The actress used Instagram Stories to encourage followers to donate to the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

'Pretty Woman' star posted a photo via her Instagram account where she stood in front of a bathroom with a sign that stated 'gender-neutral bathroom.' The caption read:

"I wish they all said this. Please check out my story."

Roberts added further in her Instagram story that:

"GLSEN makes schools safe for every student no matter your sexual orientation or gender identity"

She also advised her followers to visit the GLSEN fundraising website to learn more and make donations.
