Parenting can be hard and being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs in the whole world. You are responsible for almost everything: a kid's life, health, and even behavior. All parents know that children can be really unpredictable at times. They do things that leave us speechless and TV star Jenna Bush Hager shared one of such instances.
Jenna Bush Hager about her daughters' prank
During TODAY’s Fourth Hour, she told fellow host Hoda Kotb about how her children, 5-year-old Mila, and 3-year-old Poppy, got in big trouble when they were left with their babysitter.
Jenna was on her way to a function when she received a message from the sitter. Apparently, the girls had locked themselves in the master bedroom, succeeding in locking their sitter out, for 45 minutes.
The mom told Hoda that she was "furious" upon hearing of her daughters' misbehavior as she felt it was a very disrespectful thing to do to the babysitter. So Jenna told the sitter to put the phone on speaker and hold it to the bedroom door so her daughters could hear her:
I said 'I’m going to call the police.' Is that overreacting? Because they unlocked the door.
The children did not worry too much about the whole story because, by the time Jenna returned, Mila and Poppy were running around the house. Jenna said:
I took deep breaths. I wasn’t livid; I was disappointed.
The TV star had to make sure her daughters learned their lesson by taking away their toys as punishment.
Jenna explained that the situation had her doubting her skills as a parent, but she decided to be optimistic. The fact that her daughters teamed to work together on something like that may not be a bad thing after all.
What a crazy parenting moment! It's pretty cool that Mila and Poppy can work together, but it would be better if they combine their powers for something good in the future. Children can do almost anything. Do you agree? Share this amazing parenting story with your friends and family!
