"Irresponsible Parenting": Boy Refuses To Get A Haircut Despite Being Made Fun Of Because It's For A Noble Cause

Even though we're often told to never judge a book by its cover, many people still make the mistake of taking things at face value and reacting wrongly as a result.
Morgan Gero had a difficult start to life. His mother, Sandrine, went into labor when she was 29 weeks pregnant. The little one had to spend seven weeks in the NICU until he was strong enough to survive on his own.
Fortunately, the boy was a fighter. Even though he was a bit behind in his milestones, he caught up brilliantly.
According to his mom, by the time he turned three, the boy had long blond hair, which she didn't feel the need to cut. She explained that although he had had a couple of haircuts over the years, Morgan always liked it long.
This meant he was often mistaken for a girl by strangers and, sometimes, they even offered some mean comments. While at a Christmas recital, a parent who saw Morgan come on stage was surprised to find out he was a boy
The parent said, ‘That is such irresponsible parenting.’ I never understood that comment.
When he was 12 years old, Morgan decided that he was going to keep his long hair so that he could one day donate it to children whose medical issues make them lose theirs. Surprisingly, his decision received more criticism. It even got so bad that Morgan was often questioned when he wanted to use the male bathroom.
The longer his hair got, the more confused and judgmental others got. ‘What are you doing in the boy’s bathroom?’
He admitted that this made him feel bad sometimes. Morgan told Fox13now:
It's annoying when people just think I'm a girl.
He had faith that he was doing the right thing and continued to let people know that he wanted to help those kids who lost their hair due to treatments and medical problems.
Morgan eventually grew his hair to 12 inches, the required length for making a donation. He happily sat as they cut his locks while his proud mom looked on.
For such a young boy, Morgan proved himself to be a warm, generous and selfless human being. These traits should be celebrated. Kudos to the mom, too, for supporting him every step of the way.
