Why Princess Charlotte Is Not Allowed To Sit With Her Family At The Dinner Table During Official Royal Occasions

Apparently, being a princess does not mean you get to do whatever you want. There are actual rules guiding the members of the royal family and Princess Charlotte is not exempted.

The British royals do have a lot of protocols and etiquette that are aimed at making sure things work out as seamlessly as possible. We have learned some of them and they mostly revolve around what the adults in the family do.

What we did not know was that the little kiddos also have some restrictions and one of them has to do with dinner etiquette.

According to a report by Harpers Bazaar Australia, the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge  - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - are not allowed to sit with their parents during dinners at official functions.

Reportedly, this ban will last until the kiddos have learned the "art of polite conversation."

And this is not the only expectations the Royals have from Princess Charlotte. Apparently, she's also required to learn at least one other language.

Earlier this year, PEOPLE reported that the cute princess had already started learning Spanish, even though she had only just started school at the time.

There were reports that this could be because her nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion, is a Spanish native who would often speak to Charlotte in her mother tongue.

But if Harpers Bazaar's report is to be believed, then there was more to the language lesson than we thought there could be. By the way, the Princess has been doing great with the new language.

These are not the only rules the royal kids have to follow, however. According to BBC, the fact that Prince George often wears shorts is no accident. This is the standard dressing code for the young boys in the royal family.

Well, we know at least one thing they are not banned from doing - and that's looking super adorable at public events.
