What is it like being an older brother? This 4-year-old boy with Down Syndrome can’t be happier in his new role! This adorable footage that captures the first meeting of two boys brings happy tears to one's eyes, as the warmth and love coming from this boy’s heart is palpable.
Kent came to the hospital room to visit his mommy, who had just given birth to baby Noah. From the moment the toddler sees a newborn, he can’t stop smiling. Then, as mom puts the baby in his arms, Kent leans in to give his new brother a gentle kiss!
In a caption added to the video post, his grandmom wrote that he is “the most loving boy in the world.”
Kent’s reaction to the baby Noah amazed the whole family. Even though the boy is still non-verbal at the age of four, he loves socializing and he seemed to bond with the new member of the family in no time.
Down Syndrome is a congenital disorder resulting from a chromosome defect. For this family, and for many others out there, the diagnosis does not define their child. Kent is a true blessing for the family and a little bundle of joy who makes their life meaningful every day!
First and foremost, children with Down Syndrome should not be restricted when it comes to communication, learning and developing cognitive and physical skills, despite the challenges they face.
