21-Year Old Man Gives His Parents The Best Christmas Gift As He Uses His First Paycheck To Pay Off Their Mortgage

Think back a few years: Can you remember what you did with your first paycheck? Bought a car maybe? Went out with friends? Or did you travel to an exotic country?
Well, a 21-year-old man decided to use his paycheck differently and put the needs of others before himself.
Pavin Smith is a 21-year old man whose actions are worth emulating. Pavin, a baseball player, was signed to the Arizona Diamondbacks and was gifted a hefty $5 million bonus. Instead of splurging it on himself, he decided to use it to pay off his parent's entire mortgage as a Christmas present.
He accompanied the gift with a heartfelt letter explaining his actions and thanking them for all they have done for him. His beautiful letter read:
“Thank you for raising me in a great home filled with love. Because of all the sacrifices you made to get me where I am, I want our family home to be yours.”
Pavin realized the sacrifices and efforts his parents must have gone through on his behalf and, as a good son, decided to pay them back in a small - but huge - way.
Luckily, Pavin considered that the world would love to see how his parents reacted and so he recorded a clip and uploaded it on Twitter. His video got over 5,000 retweets and 24,000 likes.
Thank you for everything you have done for me! This doesn’t make up for any of it. Love you both so much. Our home is finally all YOURS. Merry Christmas! pic.twitter.com/h9wog2HfHv— Pavin Smith (@PavinSmith) December 25, 2017
Many were quick to comment on how great a son he is. His parents must be so proud of the great man their son has grown up to be.

Most people, once they start earning money on their own, forget how much their parents struggled to give them a befitting life, but Pavin has done otherwise and put them first.
We need more people like Pavin. Be thankful for having people who offers their love and support, especially parents.
