These Families May Blow Your Mind: Twin Sisters Married Twin Brothers And Gave Birth To Identical Twins!
Some families are more unusual than the others, but these two broke all the records of extraordinary. Darlene and Diane Nettemeier are the identical twin sisters. Their husbands Mark and Craig Sanders are identical twins too. What are the odds?
These unusual couples met in 1998 at the twin festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. The girls were attracted to the tall dark haired handsome man, who seemed to be alone at the event.
Mark told TODAY, that he fell in love with Darlene at the first sight, who happened to have a twin.
I was actually by myself in the lobby of the hotel when I first saw Darlene and Diane. I was afraid they were going to be scared I was some single crashing the twin party. I had to prove I actually had a double somewhere.
After some time, men came to girls’ hometown St. Louis, Missouri to invite them on a double date!
Soon enough, those four started dating. When their relationships grew into serious bonds, Mark and Craig felt they were ready to create families and decided to propose.
To make this day special, they did it on the same day! And just following the tradition to do everything together, the amazing quartet planned the wedding for the same date.
Nettemeier sisters had been always dreaming about it, so they could finally fulfill that dream. They picked the identical wedding dresses and walked together along the aisle, as their father led them to future husbands.
It was fun shopping for dresses, because she would take half and I would take half, and we would try them on. If it didn’t look good on her, it wasn’t going to look good on me.
This beautiful love story has even a better ending.
The married couples started living close to each other. They dwell next door to each other in Texas and share a large garden without a fence between them.
In 2001, their huge family beat another record - Diane and Craig gave birth to identical twin boys Colby and Brady. Both couples have 5 kids in total, so their kin includes 3 sets of identical twins. How amazing is that?
It’s obvious, that this beautiful family share the closest bond possible between one another.
