While many of us were not fans of maths class in high school, we can’t deny that maths has helped us in our everyday lives.

Whether it’s helping you calculate the right tip when you go out to the restaurant or when you measure the right amount of ingredients while baking; it’s evident that maths plays a huge role in our lives.

Now that we have brought you up to speed about the importance of maths, are you ready to try out this task?

C'mon! Try it out. Here we have this equation 3+3 x 3-3+3=? At first, it might look simple, but if you don’t follow the right order of equation, you might not get it.

So let’s begin. The right order of operation to use is PEDMAS which represents parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction.

Since we have no parentheses and exponents, we go multiplication. 3 x 3 gives 9. Then we follow it up with addition, 9 + 3 = 12.

You’re doing great!

Next, you subtract 3 from 12, and that takes us back to 9. Now, this is the final step. You simply add the last 3 to 9, and you get 12.

Voila! Very easy.

All you had to do was follow the right order of operation. Simple!
