When a child's life is threatened, the parent will always do whatever it takes to save them. So, good parents can understand exactly what was in this man's mind as he literally raced to help his child.
An incredible act of kindness by loving nurses blew a dad away after he experienced a very scary ordeal.
Darius Hinkle was very grateful to the hospital staff who paid his bonds and secured his release from jail after he was arrested for violating traffic rules while rushing his daughter to the hospital.
The dad admitted he was driving without a valid driver's license and he was also speeding, but he didn't have a choice as his 1-year-old daughter was choking on a penny.
The dad told FOX2Now that he was very terrified at the time and the only thing on his mind was how to get his child to the hospital as soon as possible to save her life.
Hinkle said that, by the time he finally arrived at the hospital, he was being trailed by police officers with sirens flashing. The dad was taken into custody immediately.
When the child's mom arrived at the jail, she was surprised to see a woman who she didn't recognize in the process of paying Hinkle's bonds.
She later learned that a group of nurses at the Touchette Hospital, in Centreville, where the dad had taken the girl, had donated money to get Hinkle out of jail.
The dad was very grateful for their help and their unexpected act of kindness.
Fortunately, the little girl was fine after the incident and we imagine that even though Hinkle broke a few rules to save her life, he was glad the whole thing ended on a good note.
