As a kid, our parents and teachers would yell at us saying “pay more attention!” all the time.
If you didn’t pass an assignment, it was because you weren’t paying attention; if you broke a plate, it was also because you weren’t concentrating.

Now that you’re grown, you probably have come to realize they weren’t exaggerating and attention is pretty significant.
However, do you still find it difficult to pay attention? At work or even in your daily life? Worry not! We are here to help.
Just like your muscles, your brain needs exercise to grow, though you can’t do push-ups with your mind. Here’s how you can exercise your brain to help you concentrate better:

1. Meditate daily: try to create an inner sanctum where you gather your thoughts and rearrange and let go of unnecessary ones;
2. Read a lot of educational books;
3. Read bulky stuff slowly, don’t be hasty: read and understand what you’re reading;
4. Be more aware of your surroundings;
5. Perform concentration exercises: It turns out you can exercise your brain by giving it tasks to work out.
Activities that can help you develop your attention span include riddles, math games, puzzles, etc.

We have here a riddle for you to solve. There are three people in the picture:
1 is a woman with glasses,
2 is a tall man, and
3 is a buff man wearing a hat.
The question is: Who is the FBI agent?
If you look closely, you can see that number 1, the woman, has an earpiece in her right ear! Obviously, it is the medium with which she communicates with her fellow agents.
Did you get it?
If you did, congrats! You paid attention. If you didn’t, no worries, practice, they say, makes perfect.
Make sure to practice and engage in more mind tasking quests, and you will surely be able to improve your concentration.
