Russian beauty queen Oksana Voevodina has tied the knot to Malaysia's Muhammad V of Kelantan. The 25-year-old, who became Miss Moscow in 2015, married the 49-year-old after reportedly converting to Islam.
This is Oksana Voevodina (Оксана Воеводина), Miss Moscow in 2015, quite possibly Mrs Royal Kelantan in 2018? I just spent my morning testing my Russian by reading articles about Moscow model pageants, I knew journalism would turn out right for me. pic.twitter.com/8pVPcKDKxp— Amirul Ruslan | A Child Cannot Consent To Marriage (@amirulruslan) November 24, 2018
The wedding ceremony took place in Moscow on November 22. Neither Oksana nor the Malaysian ruler has talked about how they met.
According to the UK Sun, the royal bride once opened up about how she was a "bandit" when she was in school. She said she loved skaters, bikes, and VMX.
After she won the title of Miss Moscow, she revealed that her hobby was to design female clothes and swimsuits. She wanted to become a fashion designer.
Not a lot is known about Oksana apart from her history as a beauty pageant contestant.
It is, however, known that father dad, Andrey Gorbatenko, is an orthopedic surgeon who is believed to be in his late 50s.
As for her opinion about marriage, the young beauty reportedly once said:
I think that the man must be the head of the family and of course shall not earn less than a woman.
