Pure joy

In a video uploaded on Twitter by Lakesha Ball’s daughter, the Maryland woman, who was finally free from cancer, rang the bell vigorously at the University of Maryland Proton Center.

Like all cancer patients who leave the hospital, Lakesha rang the bell for all to hear, only this time she didn’t want to stop, and her daughter cheered her on all the way.

Lakesha underwent forty rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, and on her final day of treatment, her daughter filmed the moment she was discharged from the hospital.

Lakesha radiated pure joy, and her family members were there to support her. It was an emotional day for both mother and daughter, as they hugged and shed tears of happiness.

The video, which was shared on March 11, 2019, garnered over 68,000 retweets in just nine days.
