What does God want for Christmas?
Darius' musical genius was brought to bear once more by his inspiring single, 'What God Wants for Christmas.’ Although the song was released in 2014, the depth of the lyrics remains compelling.
Filmed at MUSC Children's Hospital, the video features families and sick children celebrating Christmas. However, beyond the tear-inducing video, the rich baritone of his voice asking what God wants for Christmas is powerful.
Written by Darius himself, Monty Russell Criswell and Frank Rogers, the following words attempt to guess what God would want for Christmas
'Something that you can't find in a store. Maybe peace on earth, no more empty seats in the church might be what's on His wishlist. I wonder what God wants for Christmas'
This lyrics really make you think, don't they?
The song is capped off with a declaration that it is high time we all knew what God would want for Christmas.
On social media, the impact the song has made is pretty widespread.
Don A. King wrote:
"It still makes me cry, and I was in the video... Love you too Darius!!!"
Sakura Uchiha sumarised it as:
"This is what Christmas is all about."
Judith Copeland says:
"Voice like smooth, creamy butter (smile)....love it...fantastic video....thanks for sharing...
There is no doubt that Darius has once again amazed the world with his brilliant and rich voice.
