Apart from helping with digestion, ginger also boosts your overall metabolism and fat-burning process. In addition to helping you lose weight, ginger also keeps you fuller longer which means you're less likely to eat too much of the bad stuff.

So, how exactly do you use ginger for weight loss?

One of the most popular recipes is the ginger tea. It does not require too much effort and there's a lot to gain from it.
What you need
- Some raw ginger
- 2 cups of water
- lemon juice;
- raw honey (no more than 1 tbsp but it's more effective without honey).
What do do
Cut your ginger into about 4 thin slices and put them in a large mug. Then add hot water. Cover the mug so your tea steeps for about 10 minutes.

Strain and remove the ginger. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey depending on your taste. You can also add some lemon for an extra zing.

When can you drink it?
You can drink it before or in between meals as it helps to jumpstart the digestive enzymes. You can also drink it before bed to help you wind down after a hard day. In addition, it will work on your metabolism while you sleep.
