It also helps to calm the entire body. In addition, lavender has been shown to have other medicinal properties, including reducing depression, helping you sleep better and even easing pains associated with headaches.

Now that we've seen how each of these ingredients can have a calming effect and help the body deal with pain, you can see why a combination of both can be very beneficial.
What you'll need for your lemon and lavender beverage:
- Raw honey (1 cup)
- Water (12 cups)
- Lavender essential oil (12 drops)
- Six lemons (extract the juice)
- Some lavender sprigs to be used as a garnish.

Combine all of these ingredients together and then put your lemon and lavender mixture in the refrigerator until it's cooled. You can add more honey if you prefer your juice to be sweeter. And if it's too sweet, simply add more water until you get your ideal taste.

Keep in mind that most essential oils should be used in very small quantities. In aromatherapy, one drop of essential is recommended per one glass of drinking water.
